production blog (props)

 For our film, we went as a whole to go to any plaza close by. We found outfits and material we needed to start our film at ross. We went to the dollar store and five below to find the clothes and materials. We had to buy some swim wear for the beach scene. All of us gathered supplies from home that we could be useful. Everybody wore nice clothes for the party scene. There was plenty of props which played a big role in the party scene. My mom allowed us to use our house for the party scene. We bought cups, pingpong balls, a table, etc... Everyone in the group brought friends to make the scene a lot more interesting and real.  I used my speakers that I have at home for the music which was played at the party. One group member brought a fake knife and fake blood for the killing scene. We had to buy some tie up ropes. It took a couple days to gather all the props. Many stores were closed. Paige made sure that everyone had the correct clothing wear. Eva made sure that the fake blood and knife was in action to work. Lucas made sure the food and some equipment was available for the party scene. I made sure that we were for sure filming at my house.

             We will be filming at Ella Jacksons house, a restaurant and a black alley. 3 /6/21- 3/7/21 : we will begin the Filming. We will film  our first setting at  E lla’s house during the day.  3/13/21- 3/14/21 we will begin to film the second and third setting. It will be at the restaurant and the black alley way.  3/15/21 - 3/16/21 We will start Editing. All the settings will be done and edited together after school on both days.  3/20/21- We are not set on when we are going to be completed with our reflection questions. When done we will send too Cambridge.  Actors: Daniel; the killer,  Ella; the girl getting killed,  Paige; the friend,  Eva; the other friend.  Filmed;  Eva.  Editor ; Paige.  Director;  Ella.  Safety team; Daniel.  To ensure our safety we are going to make sure we are all wearing masks when off camera. We will make sure we are being supervised if filmed at night.  Everyone is going to be spaced out and not to close to each other do to covid.

Comparing Le Jetee, the short, and 12 Monkeys, the full-length movie

  In order to research and prepare for making my short film, I compared a short called Le Jetee and an article that describes 12 Monkeys. Le Jetee is a short film and 12 Monkeys is a full length movie based off of the film. My original google search gave me a description of Le Jetee and I think I will like it a lot. Short Film: To be brutally honest, Le Jetee left a mediocre impression on me. I like the foreign feel of the film and the introduction felt like where I got the bulk of the information. It was hard to process everything after the introduction, to be honest. There was so little and so much going on at the same time if that makes sense. There were images throughout which were kind of confusing but it made a bit of sense after I looked up how old this film was. I really didn't get the plot other than the parts with like time travel and Paris. It may have been a dystopia but I couldn't really tell. This might help with my mystery genre with the style of Le Jetee. I want
